Can we agree on one thing? The government’s main job is to protect it’s citizens.

Well, I’m here to state the obvious; the government in our country has entirely lost it’s loyalty to American citizens. In early 2019, Trump asked Congress for 5 billion to complete a border wall that would make monitoring the southern border more feasible for Border Patrol. The political left has represented the idea of a border wall as something that will never work. The media shows more footage of unknown migrants sawing through the steel and concrete than the hundreds of thousands (reported) that walk across other unwalled parts of the border monthly.

The wall alone will not stop illegal immigration, but it makes the job of US Border Patrol more manageable. If walls don’t accomplish a goal, why did the Democrats completely surround the DNC with one this month? Why did they wall off San Francisco for President Xi’s APEC visit in 2023? It’s because they are interested in protecting themselves from harm and inconvenience. They do not share the same feelings for you. In 2019, Trump’s funding request was too “expensive” a cost for Democrats. But the results of their resistance to a wall at the border comes at a cost. Illegal immigration costs our country over 150 billion a year.

Helping people is a great and noble cause. Though, there are two problems with this statement when it comes to undocumented immigrants. First, people don’t have to be here to help them. Secondly, a single country can’t independently afford the cost of “helping” all the poor and at risk in on the entire continent. Especially if the country’s own citizens are struggling and find life here unaffordable.

74% of Americans consider housing unaffordable.

Six in ten uninsured Americans (61%) say they went without needed care because of the cost.

According to a survey by Intuit Credit Karma, 28% said they are putting off paying for necessities, such as rent or other bills, to afford groceries — while 27% say they are occasionally skipping meals. These are Americans using the app because they are interested in their credit score and building wealth, arguably the survey does not scratch the surface of the most at risk of poverty in the US.

The answer to the problem may not be simple, but can we agree there is a problem?

At some point do we start asking, “Why is Dad leaving the back door unlocked every night?” Most parents make sure they know who they are letting into their house. Is there an ulterior motive for Democrats to not want to know who is entering the country? Washington, DC is the latest city that allows non-citizens to vote in local elections. Is this how Democrats crush their opposition and push some of their more radical, liberal ideas?

Is it reasonable to assume that some of the millions of undocumented people coming here every year are probably not good people? Shouldn’t the government see this as a problem and protect us from those people?

Actions speak louder than words. The US government does not care about you. One side of the aisle doesn’t offer any solution to illegal immigration, and vehemently opposes any proposals from the other. Just more of the status quo. Watch the country crumble. Print more money, then blame inflation on price gouging. Go into more debt. Send more money we literally don’t have to other countries. Everything the government has is the result of US citizens paying taxes. The government is funded by you, but it is obvious it does not care about you. They lost their loyalty at some point. They aren’t doing their job.

“A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1801

this one really hits home for me on many levels. It is fair and in my mind completely accurate. I love it and would like to receive more of this to read as it portrays the reality of what is happening in our country sadly!
