I’m done regretting my past

Growing has been far from fast

I’ve been cut deep, that’s real

But you know what? Fire tempers steel

I’ve been asking God for the wrong thing

“Give me something to take away the sting”

I know that words will not suffice here

So I’ll show you the overcoming of fear

I’m seeing clearly with these new frames

Life can put me back in the flames

I don’t want easy, I don’t condone weak,

When strength is what I seek

So make me grind, make me wait
