The Free American

Can a governing authority create a law that contradicts the Constitution?

The 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America says this:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

You cannot put an entire state on house arrest.  You can’t cite or arrest someone that arranges a play date for their kids and their friends.  You can’t shut down private businesses when they haven’t broken any laws.  The Governors of this nation DO NOT have the power to tell their constituents they have to stay home.

“I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.”  – Thomas Jefferson

If what is happening now in the USA happened during the tenure of our nation’s founders, this nation’s Governors would swing from the gallows.  Our nation has willingly accepted totalitarianism in under two months time.  People are afraid of a virus that kills a small fraction of those who are extremely old or have pre-existing conditions.  Those people should smartly stay home!  But in this country, despite a Governor’s orders, they are free to not.

When your Governor took office, he/she laid their hand on a Bible and said this –

“I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same: that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Our Governors have become the enemy of the people and their freedoms.  They have ordered unconstitutional house arrest.  This isn’t a debate about what is “smart” or “safe”.  It’s a constitutional fact.  You can’t create a law that contradicts the Constitution and you can’t put law abiding citizens on house arrest!

People are so afraid of a virus that they drive to work alone in their cars with their windows up and with a mask over their nose and mouth.  Just this month a driver passed out and caused a car accident due to this stupidity.

Costco has the right to limit who comes on their private property as they see fit.  If they want to require you to wear a mask on their grounds, they can do that.  It’s up to you, the free American whether or not you pay that company annually to tell you how to live your life.  It’s up to you, the free American to protect yourself from a deadly virus or the local burglar.

Americans willingly sit in their homes because they’ve been told to while local and federal governments write laws infringing on the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

“But why do you need an AR-15?”

Because when I am no longer free, the Constitution affords me the right to keep it and to  use it to overthrow an oppressive government.

You can have your weekly trips to the grocery store, your stimulus check and your Netflix subscription and believe you are free.

Me?  I will scream from the rooftops until I am either truly free or I can scream no more.
